Third Annual Coffee Collaboration Supports SparkPoint’s New Resilience Hub
Community invited to celebrate the release of Common Ground Resilience Roast on July 31 at Pisgah Coffee Roasters

BREVARD, N.C. — SparkPoint and Pisgah Coffee Roasters are inviting the community to celebrate the release of Common Ground Resilience Roast, the third annual coffee collaboration between the two organizations. This year’s limited-edition roast will help support the continued development of SparkPoint’s new Resilience Hub, a space designed to strengthen community connections and collaboration across Transylvania County.

The community is invited to join SparkPoint and Pisgah Coffee Roasters for the official coffee release on Friday, July 31, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at Pisgah Coffee Roasters, 6283 Asheville Highway in Pisgah Forest. Guests will have the opportunity to sample the new roast, purchase bags of Common Ground Resilience Roast, learn more about the vision for the Resilience Hub, and connect with neighbors, partners, and supporters.

This marks the third annual community-inspired coffee release from SparkPoint and Pisgah Coffee Roasters. The partnership began in 2023 and returned in 2024. After a pause in 2025, when Hurricane Helene response and recovery called both organizations to other priorities, the collaboration returns with a new focus on investing in a shared vision for the future. Previous releases honored local leaders who have made a lasting impact on Transylvania County, including Pipin’ Hot Blend, celebrating Dr. Ora Wells, and The Mayor’s Daily Grind, honoring Brevard Mayor Maureen Copelof.

Throughout August, Pisgah Coffee Roasters will donate 50% of all profits from Common Ground Resilience Roast sales to SparkPoint. Funds raised through the promotion will help complete SparkPoint’s new Resilience Hub—a welcoming community resource center designed to connect people with services, inspire volunteerism, convene organizations around shared challenges, and create opportunities for collaboration and innovation throughout the region.

“SparkPoint is really in the business of creating opportunities for people to come together. Sometimes that’s around a community issue, sometimes it’s around a story, and sometimes it’s over a cup of coffee. We believe communities become stronger when it’s easier for people to know one another, trust one another, and work together. The Resilience Hub is being designed around that idea: a place where people can find resources, discover ways to get involved, and where organizations can build stronger partnerships together. We’re grateful to Pisgah Coffee Roasters for helping us bring that vision to life through the Common Ground Resilience Roast. It’s a reminder that something as simple as sharing a cup of coffee can help build the relationships that make a community more resilient.”

The Resilience Hub represents SparkPoint’s next chapter as a connector and convener for Transylvania County. Building on lessons learned through community storytelling, disaster recovery, and collaborative initiatives, the Hub will provide a permanent home for programs that strengthen the county’s social infrastructure—helping neighbors, nonprofits, healthcare providers, businesses, and local governments work together to address community challenges and seize new opportunities.

Common Ground Resilience Roast will be available in limited quantities while supplies last.
